In 2012 Alabaster & Wilson celebrates 125 years of manufacturing fine jewellery in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. Founded in 1887 by Arthur Alabaster and Thomas Wilson, the Company is now run by the fourth generation of the Alabaster family who continue to produce fine jewellery characterised by individual design and high quality craftsmanship.
Rings, pendants and brooches are made only in precious metals, and are designed around individually selected coloured gemstones and diamonds, to form stunning collections of ladies’ jewellery.
Alabaster & Wilson’s collections for men include a large range of gold and silver cufflinks with a brilliantly coloured collection which is decorated with vitreous enamel.
Sporting jewellery is a particular speciality, and features pieces designed for lovers of horse racing and other country pursuits.
Alabaster & Wilson has a high reputation in the British jewellery trade and is regularly commissioned to produce bespoke one-off pieces of jewellery and collections for presentation; design and manufacture, combining traditional skills and modern techniques, are carried out in their factory in the Jewellery Quarter, where personal care and attention remain paramount, backed by 125 years of experience.
